ITS in conjunction with Datacom and Lenovo have designed an array of pre-configured devices to match specifications that we believe will be desired by University users. All of these configurations can be modified to your requirements if they do not meet your specific needs but we believe that these configurations should suit the purposes for which they have been nominated.

Student Suite PC's (pdf 251kB) - ITS, Datacom and Lenovo have designed this configuration with the student computer suite in mind and have attempted to keep the costs to a minimum while still providing the performance that an average student will need.

Ultra Small Form Factor Core 2 Duo (pdf 125kB) - ITS, Datacom and Lenovo have designed this configuration with a space conscious standard user in mind. This machine will perform typical office tasks with ease and has a very small desktop footprint.

Standard Model Core 2 Duo (pdf 163kB) - ITS, Datacom and Lenovo have designed this configuration with a standard PC user in mind. This machine will easily complete multiple functions simultaneously and should provide all the functionality and flexibility that a user performing administrative and non-system intensive tasks will need.

Performance Model Core 2 Duo (pdf 184kB) - ITS, Datacom and Lenovo have designed this configuration with the system intensive user in mind (large number sets, graphic design tasks, ARCGis users, etc.). This machine has the flexibility of specific customisation for more RAM, more or larger hard disk drives and high end graphics cards to be included in the configuration. As it stands this machine will perform more system intensive tasks to an acceptable standard while still keeping cost in check.
