Printers

ITS are continually trialling and implementing standards across the University.  This also includes printer hardware standards. 

After thorough testing from a technical and support view the following standards have been applied for printers; 

• HP are the hardware standard for laser jet printers 
• Canon are the hardware standard for Multifunction devices
  

This standard has been agreed upon after months of testing of hardware components, driver compatibility in the University network, local support assistance, remote deployment and other issues by ITS. 

***Please Note*** If non standard hardware has been purchased without approval from ITS via a business case, then that particular hardware is not supported by ITS and all support work will be via the external vendor at their hourly rate.
