IT equipment relocationITS does not provide a computer movement service. ITS is however available to prepare a computer prior to its move and after its move to ensure all functionality is available such as network connectivity. The relocation of a network connection frequently incurs a cost. If you are planning a move, please contact the ITS Helpdesk with the details of the move and an account code. Obviously timing is an issue here, so to ensure an ITS staff member is available to configure your computer after the move has occured, contact the Helpdesk at least 3 working days prior to the move. If you do not advise ITS that you have moved a computer, it may result in a number of issues such as lost network connectivity or your Faculties hardware / software asset information will no longer be accurate. ITS also recommends that areas use the University Porters to physically move IT equipment and equipment and furniture in general.
