An outstanding opportunity is on offer for a Senior Risk and Security Specialist to join the IT Risk Management team, which is responsible for information security policies, standards, governance, incident management, security operations, risk assessments and risk lifecycle management for the University.  The IT Risk Management team is part of the wider Production Services team, which provides IT infrastructure services such as network, server & storage and client computing services to the University.

The Senior Risk and Security Specialist is responsible for performing risk assessments and managing the risk lifecycle,   information security based audits, assessments and operations  in support of the University’s learning, teaching, research and business goals.

The successful candidate will possess experience in risk management, IT audit, security assessments and information security operations.  You should also have excellent interpersonal skills in developing effective relationships with key stakeholders and the ability to deal with sensitivity matters discretely.

Position Requirements

You should have:

  • High level knowledge of the IT environment and the relationships/connections
  • Demonstrated experience in security platforms including the ability to work with and understand a broad range of technology
  • Excellent current knowledge of IT trends in security technology
  • Worked in a large organisation with demonstrated experience in adopting security frameworks, policies, education and vulnerability management
  • A relevant tertiary qualification of at least bachelor level and/or significant relevant experience.

Salary

Salary: (HEO8) $77,158 – $86,804 per annum.

Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies
