This Australian Research Council Linkage Project is a collaborative venture between the University of Adelaide, the South Australian Research and Development Institute, MG Nutritionals (a division of Murray Goulburn Co-operative Co. Ltd), Organic Crop Protectants Pty, Temple Bruer Wines and Transgrain Technologies. You will investigate the control of powdery mildew and botrytis diseases in horticulture and viticulture using milk components. Research will include studies of antifungal activity of milk fractions, chemistry and mode of action of selected fractions and field testing of candidate formulations. The position is based at the Waite Campus of the University of Adelaide, with field work in various parts of South Australia. You will work closely with Associate Professor Eileen Scott, Professors Otto Schmidt and Dennis Taylor, and Drs Paul Grbin, University of Adelaide, Trevor Wicks, SARDI and Ross Crittenden, MG Nutritionals, and other industry partners.
