We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher for the Materials Group within the School of Mechanical Engineering. Current projects cover the performance of carbon steels used for natural gas transmission pipelines in service environments that make the steel susceptible to stress corrosion cracking.

You will be required to have knowledge of steel metallurgy and be prepared to undertake laboratory based experiments, metallography and microscopy. You will need to be able to work well with industry partners so good communication skills and an ability to complete work to deadlines are vital.
