DMAC provides integrated support for clients undertaking research and data intensive projects in the health area. DMAC’s staff includes statisticians, programmers, systems analysts, IT specialists and data managers. The Centre consists of three divisions; Statistics, Operations and Data Management and IT Systems.
A programmer in the Data Management & Analysis Centre develops applications for clinical trials and other health research projects.
Position Requirements
You should have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or considerable experience in a similar position
- Programming experience in Java and Visual Basic including experience using MS SQL Server, MS Access and Netbeans/Eclipse
- Experience with Windows operating systems
- Understanding of networks
- Ability to work constructively and productively in a small team environment
- Sound understanding of the structure and function of relational databases
- Proven troubleshooting ability.
Desirable:
- Experience in web application development
- Familiarity with health related research
- Familiarity with the Adelaide University’s information systems
- Understanding of project requirements
- The ability to obtain a Department of Defence security clearance.
Salary
Salary: (HEO5/6) $51,009 - $67,300 per annum.
Superannuation
Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 9% applies
Term of Position
This fixed term position is available immediately for a period of 12 months in the first instance.
