We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct laboratory-based research investigating the effects of obesity on female reproduction. This position is funded by an NHMRC Program Grant “Periconceptual foundations for a healthy start to life”, within the research group of Professor Robert J. Norman.

You will work with Dr. Rebecca Robker and Professor Robert Norman, with experiments focusing on understanding metabolic signals that influence ovarian cell function, oocyte quality, and early embryo development, primarily using animal models, but also in a clinical context.

Position Requirements

You should have:

  • a PhD in biological or biochemical sciences
  • demonstrated skills and experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques
  • a commitment to scientific excellence, as evidenced by quality publications and/or other previous research output
  • evidence of ability to plan, execute and document experimental research

Salary

(Level A) $49,053 - $66,567 per annum. A minimum of $62,014 (Level A, step 6) is payable to the holder of a PhD.

Superannuation

An employer superannuation contribution of 9% applies.

Term of Position

This fixed-term position is available immediately until 31 December 2009.
