The University of Adelaide is South Australia’s premier teaching and research organisation.  We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified individual within the Student System Solutions Team in Student Administrative Services.

Student System Solutions are responsible for the functional operation, development, maintenance and support of the University’s Student Administration, Timetabling and related systems. The Functional Analyst Operations provides a crucial link between the University’s Student Administration and related systems and the business areas of the University.  This is a key role in the functional operation, maintenance and support of these systems and related interfaces and the delivery of quality student administrative services across the University. This includes providing functional advice to business staff about system and business process requirements, troubleshooting system and related data issues, identifying defects in current functionality, updating functional specifications, system testing and documentation of business and system procedures.

Position Requirements

You should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the functional administration of complex database systems including process and data management, system configuration, and data analysis and validation
  • Demonstrated ability to operate successfully at the interface between complex database systems, technical and business experts and end users and to translate business requirements into effective system solutions
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify system solutions that deliver quality administrative services within policy and procedural guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of end user support, including the development and maintenance of system, business and end user documentation.

Salary

Salary: (HEO6)  $62,155 – $67,300 per annum.
