The University of Adelaide Business School has a stimulating multidisciplinary learning environment that fosters the pursuit of leadership and excellence in both research and education. The Business School offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the core discipline areas of accounting, business law, finance, international business, management and marketing, as well as a suite of MBA programs. The Business School also offers high quality research programs at the honours, masters and PhD level.

The Business School is looking to appoint a senior academic to provide leadership in research and education in the Accounting Discipline.

Position Requirements

You should have:

  • Posses a relevant PhD.
  • Evidence of high quality teaching experience in accounting (financial accounting and/or management accounting/auditing) at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Evidence of high quality research output (publications in high quality journals & successful competitive grant applications) in accounting (financial accounting and/or management accounting/auditing).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality academic leadership through the support and mentoring of junior academic staff.
  • Willingness to work with senior academics in the School to provide research leadership to the Accounting group.
  • Ability to make significant contributions to curriculum development and the enhancement of teaching methodologies in the area of accounting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to carry out the normal duties of the position including cross cultural communication.
  • A willingness to become involved in the School’s international programs.
  • Active engagement with the accounting profession and professional bodies.
  • Willingness to assist in other administrative tasks of the School.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and constructively with members of staff of the School.

Salary

(Level D) $108,009 - $118,992 per annum

Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.
