The University of Adelaide has established South Australia’s first Veterinary School at its long established Roseworthy Campus. The rural setting allows excellent access to large animal species as well as a full service teaching hospital, farm and ambulatory clinic. Roseworthy campus lies to the north of Adelaide city and is approximately 50 minutes drive from the city or 25 minutes drive from the Barossa Valley, one of Australia’s premier wine growing areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of our Animal and Veterinary Sciences School and offers the chance to develop a research program while shaping the future of Veterinary education at the school.

We are seeking a Veterinarian who is eligible to practice in South Australia to teach and lead research in Diagnostic Imaging. The position is intended to be a part time position but extension of the hours worked each week is negotiable.

Position Requirements

You should have:

A qualification in Veterinary Science acceptable for registration in South Australia.
A higher degree, or post graduate qualification in veterinary diagnostic imaging, or a related discipline.
Evidence of contributions to the teaching effort of a veterinarian school in diagnostic imaging.
A record of research based publication and evidence of the ability to attract research funding.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of teaching and research teams.

Salary

Salary: (Level B) $77,688-92,856 per annum, (Level C) $95,163-109,735 per annum, (Level D) $114,586-126,239 per annum.

Superannuation

Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.

Term of Position

This tenurable position is available from February 2012 .
