The University of Adelaide has established South Australia’s first Vet School at its historic Roseworthy Campus. The Vet School’s new facilities house the teaching laboratories for preclinical and clinical skills training. The Veterinary Teaching Hospital will open in 2010, ready for students as they enter their clinical years. The campus, is located on a 1600 ha property which includes a working farm. The rural setting allows excellent access to large animal species as well as a full service teaching hospital and ambulatory clinic.

The first intake of students in the University's three-year BSc pre-veterinary degree were enrolled in 2008, and from 2011 there will be continuing places every year for the three year postgraduate veterinary science degree.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of our Animal and Veterinary Sciences School and offers the chance to grow your own research program while shaping the future of teaching at the school.

We are seeking a Veterinarian who is eligible to practice in South Australia to teach and lead research in Diagnostic Imaging based at the Roseworthy campus, which lies to the north of Adelaide city and is approximately 50 minutes drive from the city or 25 minutes drive from the Barossa Valley, one of Australia’s premier wine growing areas.
