Research Fellow in Oral Epidemiology

We are seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to teaching and research in Oral Epidemiology within the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health, in the School of Dentistry.

The position is part of the strengthening of the University’s performance in competitively-funded research in Oral Epidemiology. The University also wishes to develop postgraduate coursework and to increase its involvement with higher degrees by research in Oral Epidemiology.

Position Requirements

You should have:

  • A dental qualification and a postgraduate qualification in Oral Epidemiology or a related field
  • Experience in Oral Epidemiology research as evidenced by conference presentations and publications in the scientific journals
  • An involvement in guidance of research staff and/or supervision of research training of honours or postgraduate researchers
  • An involvement in the preparation of competitive research grant applications
  • Contributions to postgraduate and/or undergraduate teaching programs relevant to Oral Epidemiology
  • An engagement with other researchers in Oral Epidemiology either through collaborations or participation in relevant scientific groups at a national or international level
  • Contributions to administrative functions connected to research or research training

Salary

(Level B) $73,228 - $86,960 per annum.  A dental loading is applicable.

Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.

Term of Position

This fixed-term position is available from 1 January 2010 until 31 December 2014 in the first instance.
