We are seeking a two Postdoctoral Fellows to contribute to research in Geometry and its applications.

2010 will be an exciting year for the Institute for Geometry and its Applications (IGA), http://www.iga.adelaide.edu.au/ which will be hosting several IGA Lecturers, IGA workshops and an IGA winter school in Adelaide.

Position Requirements

You should have:

• Recent completion (or pending completion) of a PhD in Pure Mathematics
• Strong research potential and strong plans for future research directions in geometry and its applications, (compatible with the research interests of the staff in the IGA, http://www.iga.adelaide.edu.au/membership.html)
• A willingness to contribute to the research atmosphere, by giving seminar talks, interacting with postgraduate students and staff.
• A willingness to apply for an ARC postdoctoral fellowship at Adelaide in 2010.

Salary

(Level A) $51,260 - $69,563 per annum. A minimum of $64,805 per annum is payable to the holder of a PhD.

Superannuation

An employer superannuation contribution of 9% applies.

Term of Position

This fixed-term position is available from 1 January 2010 for a period of 12 months.
