We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Research Fellow Biostatistician/Epidemiologist to conduct analyses of data generated by researchers, and provide support to students, in the Freemasons Foundation Centre for Men’s Health, School of Medicine at the University of Adelaide.
Position Requirements
At a minimum, the candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Biostatistics and/or Epidemiology
- Familiarity and track record of effective use of statistical packages (eg, SAS, SPSS, Stata, R).
- Demonstrable ability to manage, manipulate and analyse complex longitudinal data sets, and prepare comprehensive statistical reports.
- Familiarity with genetic data analysis, statistical genetics, bioinformatics and data mining.
- Ability to apply independent problem solving and application of novel statistical methods and tools.
- Ability to motivate self and others to meet deadlines even in demanding timeframes
- Demonstrated flexibility in coping with multiple and changing priorities.
Salary
Salary: (Level B) $77,688 - $92,256 per annum full-time equivalent.
Superannuation
An employer superannuation contribution of 9% applies.
Term of Position
This fixed-term position is available immediately for a period of 2 years.
