Postdoctoral Fellow - Level A
School of Psychology
Job Reference Number: 17338
The School’s computational cognitive science group is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to contribute to a project focused on problems of inductive inference.
The research project investigates how different assumptions about the nature and origin of data lead to different inferences, both in a normative sense and in human behaviour. From a modelling perspective the project is interested in developing Bayesian models of human induction,
and in understanding how these relate to more traditional psychological models.
You should have:
- PhD in cognitive science, psychology, computer science,
statistics, or other related discipline
- Experience in implementing and interpreting probabilistic models
(i.e., Bayesian modelling, MCMC techniques).
Salary: (Level A) $70,814 - $76,014 per annum. The successful applicant will be appointed at an appropriate level depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
