The University of Adelaide is a leading research intensive and teaching University comprising five faculties including the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences which is home to the School of Civil, Environmental & Mining Engineering.

EngTest is the School’s commercial enterprise whereby the engineering community in Australia are able to access the services of the School if they require highly qualified engineers to undertake projects which may need ‘cutting edge’ knowledge, expert advice or specialised testing services.  

The EngTest Engineer supports the running, organisation and  administration of EngTest. The incumbent will be required to keep accurate records, liaise with clients, organise and conduct testing, experimental and consulting work, analyse and write engineering reports, and work in conjunction with the School and University administrative and OHSW requirements.

Position Requirements

You should have:

  • An undergraduate engineering degree, preferably in the area of civil engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skills and experience with working in a team environment
  • Be in possession of a driving licence. 

Desirable:

  • A background in a Consulting or Academic environment will be an advantage

Salary

Salary: (HEO6) $62,155 - $67,300 per annum.  The successful applicant will be appointed at an appropriate level depending on qualifications and relevant experience.

Superannuation

Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 9% applies.

Term of Position

This fixed term position is available immediately for a period of 3 years.
