Lecturer /Senior Lecturer in Accounting

The University of Adelaide Business School has a stimulating multidisciplinary learning environment that fosters the pursuit of leadership and excellence in both research and education.  The Business School offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the core discipline areas of accounting, business law, finance, international business, management and marketing, as well as a suite of MBA programs.  The Business School also offers high quality research programs at the honours, masters and PhD level.

The Business School has a number of positions available for experienced academics in the Accounting Discipline.

Position Requirements

You should have:

  •  A PhD or near completion in Accounting.
  • Evidence of successful teaching in Accounting at tertiary level.
  • Ability to contribute to the publication output of the School.
  • Written and oral communication skills necessary to carry out the normal duties of the position.
  • Competence to accept primary responsibility for some courses and administrative tasks of the School.
  • Preparedness to form and maintain contacts with the professional and business communities.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and constructively with members of staff of the Business School.

For appointment as a Senior Lecturer (Level C) in addition to the above you should have a doctorate in Accounting, proven ability to publish in reputable international Accounting journals and competence in managing courses and administrative tasks of the School.

Salary

(Level B) $73,228 - $86,960 per annum.
(Level C) $89,700 - $103,436 per annum.

Superannuation

Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.

Term of Position

Continuing and fixed-term positions are available from January 2010.
