Hosted at the University of Adelaide, a leading Go8 University, the Australian Centre for Visual Technologies focuses on Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, and Image Processing. As part of the expansion of this, Australia’s leading research group in the area, applications are sought from suitable candidates to join this successful Centre.
The Centre is supported by direct research-excellence investment from the University of Adelaide, generates over $2 million annually in research income, and has received significant direct research funding from a diverse range of clients. .
Position Requirements
Postdoctoral Opportunities
Opportunities exist for highly motivated and talented individuals with a strong background in Computer Science or a related area to undertake research on Australian Research Council funded projects in the areas of image analysis and computer vision. A strong background in mathematics, statistics and/or machine learning will be an advantage. A PhD in a related area is essential.
PhD Stipends
Opportunities exist for applicants holding first class honours (or equivalent) in Computer Science, or a related area, to apply for 3 year scholarships.
Salary
Salary and conditions negotiable commensurate with experience.
Superannuation
Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% may apply.
Term of Position
The appointments will be for period of two to three years.
