Call for Panels and Papers

****The call for Panels and Papers has closed****

Participants are now invited to submit proposals for group panels and individual papers to be presented in the concurrent sessions of JSAA 2005.

The conference convenors welcome all papers on any aspect of Japanese studies, including those which include Japan in comparative studies.

Submission Guidelines

Proposals of Panels

The deadline for proposals of panels is Feb 28, 2005.

It is very important that all proposals include your:

  • Name
  • Position
  • Affiliation
  • Title of panel
  • Brief description (one or two lines)
  • Proposed presenters
  • Preferred stream
  • Audio-visual requirements (if known)
  • Contact details (including email address)

Please submit all proposals of panels to jsaa2005@adelaide.edu.au.

Notification of acceptance of panels will be by March 14, 2005.

Submission of Abstracts of Individual Papers

The deadline for submission of paper/poster abstracts is April 4, 2005.

Please make sure that you include your:

  • Name
  • Position
  • Affiliation
  • Title of Paper
  • Abstract - either in Japanese (400 characters) or English (250 words). Abstracts longer than this may be edited by the stream convenor.
  • Preferred stream*
  • Audio-visual requirements (if known)
  • Contact details (including email address)

*If the proposed paper does not readily fit one of the current streams, the convenors will find a suitable panel.

Abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word and emailed as an attachment to the JSAA 2005 secretariat at jsaa2005@adelaide.edu.au.

Notification of acceptance of papers will be by April 15, 2005.
