4 April 2013

The University sought feedback from the unions in relation to the key negotiation principles it tabled for discussion at the enterprise bargaining meeting of 28 March 2013. The NTEU advised the University that it will provide feedback at the next negotiation meeting so that key negotiation principles can be finalised.

The NTEU delivered presentations on its claim items:

  • Professional Staff Mobility, Secondment, Exchange and New Appointment Opportunities; and
  • Professional Staff Individual Work Value Advancement.

The University had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions aimed at creating a better understanding about the claim items raised by the NTEU. The NTEU has indicated that it would like to present on two additional items:

  • Academic Staff Workloads; and
  • Academic Staff Workforce Issues: Scholarly Teaching Fellows.

These presentations will be delivered at the next enterprise bargaining negotiation meeting.

28 March 2013

The University and unions met on 28 March 2013 to continue enterprise bargaining negotiations. The University tabled for discussion its key enterprise bargaining principles which should form the basis upon which enterprise bargaining negotiations continue in 2013. The NTEU indicated that it would like to provide the University with comments in relation to those key principles at a future negotiation meeting.

The NTEU took the University through its claim as it related to Indigenous Employment.
