The Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic) comprises the Office of the DVC&VP(A) and four key portfolio areas which provide strategic support to the DVC&VP(A).
The role of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic) is to provide leadership in achieving the University's strategic goals, particularly in relation to learning and teaching, including the provision of quality student experience across the University and the ongoing professional development of University staff. Fundamental to the role is the development of educational frameworks and policies, including the University's Education Plan, that support the University's strategic goals, and which provide faculties and other areas guidance and support in achieving them.

The focus of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience) portfolio is on quality assurance in learning and teaching and academic support for staff and students. The PVC(SE) provides strategic direction and leadership to the University of Adelaide as it continues to pursue its goal of excellence in education. Key to this goal is delivering an integrated, high-quality learning experience for each student, which encompasses all aspects of University life.
The following units report to the PVC(Student Experience):
Learning and Quality Support - facilitate and contribute to quality assurance processes and quality enhancement at the University of Adelaide, including through provider registration and accreditation reviews, program approvals, course program and organisational unit reviews, benchmarking and survey management.
Online Development - support University staff with strategies for embedding online learning into courses and training programs, identifying relevant solutions that support the learning objectives, and assist with learning design and implementation.
Maths Learning Centre - helping all University of Adelaide students learn and use the maths they need for uni, especially when they meet it for the first time. Drop-in service, maths bridging programs, seminars, workshops and resources.
Writing Centre - providing academic learning and language support and resources for local, international, undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students enrolled at the University of Adelaide.
Hub Central - at the heart of the North Terrace Campus, Hub Central, with its state-of-the-art facilities, offers an inspirational place for students to meet, study, make social connections and exchange ideas.
The Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) is responsible for facilitating the development of strategic alliances and collaborative agreements with international partners including articulation, twinning and off-shore teaching arrangements, develop international policy, and monitor the welfare, progress and academic achievements of international students.
The following report to the PVC(International):
Global Engagement Office - responsible for providing support and assistance to the work of the PVC(I).
International Office - responsible for international student recruitment and marketing, international student admissions and the administration of study abroad and exchange programs.
Global Learning office - manages the Global Learning program for current University of Adelaide students who would like to study overseas for part of their degree.
Academic Director, Singapore Operations - co-ordinating and leadership role in the academic activities undertaken in Singapore and in the expansion of teaching programs and student numbers at the Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre.
The role of the Dean of Indigenous Education is to provide strategic leadership for the University in relation to the Indigenisation of the University of Adelaide's programs, the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and perspectives, the promotion of teaching and research in Indigenous studies, the employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, and engagement with Indigenous communities.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education: Wilto Yerlo - is responsible for recruiting and providing support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and delivery of the University Foundation Studies Program.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy - responsible for overseeing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy within the University.
The Dean, Indigenous Education administers the:
Taplin Indigenous Bursary for International Education - the bursary is available for students and staff to assist in overseas study programs.
The portfolio of the Executive Director, Division of the DVC&VP(A) is responsible for overall strategic management of the Division of the DVC&VP(A) and for providing leadership and direction to functional areas such as Student Services and Administration, Planning and Performance Reporting, Future Students, and Professional and Continuing Education.
The following units report to the Executive Director:
The Office for Future Students (OFFS) supports the expansion of university outreach activities, promoting the idea of university study as practical, possible and achievable for a broad range of students. OFFS manages TAFE and other VET provider relations; coordinate the University's HEPPP projects and work with key community, government, education and industry stakeholders; are involved in extensive outreach work in early and middle primary years; and have responsibility for student recruitment activities.
Professional & Continuing Education (PCE) provide in excess of 380 courses, workshops and education programs every year to over 5000 participants from the community, professions, business and industry. Participants are drawn from throughout Australia and internationally, providing lifelong learning opportunities and pathways to the University. PCE incorporates the English Language Centre, which provides Academic English pathway programs, General English and English teacher training services (TESOL) for international students and visiting groups from overseas.
Planning and Performance Reporting is responsible for coordination of the University's planning processes, this includes preparing University performance reports, co-ordinating the University's statutory reporting obligations, load management, benchmarking, and the operation of the University's strategic planning and implementation and performance reporting framework. Planning and Performance Reporting is also responsible for the development of business intelligence tools to assist with the above.
