The University's Academic Board, in September 2012, endorsed the recommendation of several important Working Party Reports that will shape the University's undergraduate programs and curriculum offerings over the coming years.
The reports recognised that different students have different objectives, including not everyone wanting a PhD. The University is aiming to expose students to a broader knowledgebase to widen a student's perspective and ideally, this would include the possibility of experiencing another country as part of their study.
The University, building on its undergraduate curriculum changes, is establishing two separate educational pathways - a professional pathway and a research pathway - for those students who are clear about their future direction. The pathways will be designed to include bridges between the two pathways for those students wishing to change direction.
