Risk Management

Risk Management is the process of measuring, or assessing risk, and developing strategies to manage it.

Risk management comprises two areas;

  • Good governance and risk management that the University chooses to undertake, and
  • Compliance, which is a non-discretionary obligation the University must address.

Together, these two areas provide the essential elements of the University's Risk Management Framework and philosophy.

The University risk management program is compliant with AS4360-2004.  It consists of a web-based software system (RMSS), framework and supporting policy and guidance for Divisions, Faculties and Schools to actively monitor their unique activities and risks.  An important aspect of this program is the input to the risk-based Internal Audit Program.
