Microforms

Microforms are in closed access and all requests to use microforms need to be made in advance using Library Search.

Staff will retrieve the microform within 24 hours (Mon - Fri only) and you will be notified when it is ready to collect from Service Enquiries for viewing in the library.

If you are a new microform user and require detailed assistance, please contact Service Enquiries, 8313 5759, on a weekday to arrange an instruction session (24 hours notice required).

Viewing and scanning

Microform viewing equipment is located in the High Use Collection on level 3.   Microform reader/scanners allow viewing and scanning of microforms to a file on a USB device.

At peak times the microform equipment will be in heavy demand.  Please make a booking to use the equipment (telephone Service Enquiries 8313 5759).

As with any copying done on Library equipment, the onus is on you to make sure that the nature and extent of the scanning is in accordance with the provisions of the Copyright Act.
