Reserve
- What is it ?
- Reserve items are in very heavy demand, usually because they have been put on an essential reading list. So that the maximum number of people may make use of these books, they are available only for three hour or overnight loan.
-
- Where is it ?
- The Reserve collection is located in the High Use Collection on level 3.
- May I remove items for study ?
- You may borrow a maximum of two items at a time and use them for three hours. The loan may be renewed for a further three hours provided that you check first at Service Enquiries to make sure that no one else needs the item(s).
-
Never leave Reserve items unattended in the Library -- they remain your responsibility so long as they are on loan to you.
- May I borrow items overnight ?
- A maximum of two Reserve items may be borrowed for overnight use after 7.00pm Mondays to Thursdays, and after 4pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
-
- Reserve items borrowed overnight must be returned by opening time (9.00am Mondays to Fridays; 10.00am on Saturdays and Sundays) on the next day that the Library is open.
-
-
Penalties for late return
If you do not return your Reserve items promptly your borrowing will be blocked for one week. If Reserve items are three days overdue we will invoice you for the replacement cost, plus a non-refundable $30 handling charge.
-
Requests
- A reservation request may be placed on a Reserve item for a specific three hour period or for borrowing on overnight loan. This may be done by contacting Service Enquiries, 8313 5759. A request may be placed up to three weeks in advance of the time you will need the book and must be collected within 30 minutes of the arranged time.
