Bags in th e Waite Library

Bags are allowed into the Waite Library under the following conditions:

it is a condition of entry to the Library that bags and containers in your possession may be inspected when requested by authorised University staff
any personal possessions in the Library are the responsibility of the owner; the Library and the University have no liability for loss or damage
bags should be under your control at all times - do not leave bags unattended nor leave valuables in your bag
food and drink may not be brought into the Library
material left unattended in the Library for long periods may be removed and treated as lost property
bags must not create a safety hazard: they must be stored safely where you are working so as not to block any aisle, bookshelf or passageway
the Waite Library Bag Room will continue to operate
Library staff will not mind bags for Library users
the after hours retrieval of bags left in the Library will be at the discretion of the Waite Security Office
special conditions may apply in the individual libraries of the Woolhouse Library building
bags are not allowed into the Australian Wine Research Institute Library
