Waite Library Document Delivery Service
The Document Delivery Service obtains material related to research or study
for eligible registered users of University of Adelaide Library from the
libraries located on other campuses of the University and from other libraries
or document suppliers, either within Australia or overseas.
Interlibrary Loans
This service supplies items not held by the University of Adelaide
Library.

University staff and students and PIRSA/SARDI staff may request
items to be obtained from another library.
Alumni and Community members of the Library and other approved users
may also use the service.
Intercampus Requests
This service will obtain an item that is held at another University
of Adelaide campus or in the Joint
Library Store (URRSA) and send it to your campus library for you to
collect (if a book) or directly to you by email or fax or post, if a photocopy.
Please use the electronic
request form to request books or journal articles.
If the catalogue indicates that the item is on loan, you should place
a Request for a Recall using the Library catalogue. See How
to Request that a book on loan be held for you.
Reserve collection, 7-day loan and Special Collection items are not
available for intercampus requests.
There is no charge for a loan but a prepaid charge of $2.20 per 20 pages
is levied for photocopies. If you do not have an account from your department
you must prepay for photocopies at the Loans desk.
Electronic requests
An electronic
request form is available for all Document Delivery services
listed above.
The electronic form eliminates the need to fill in personal details
and, whenever possible, enables you to 'cut and paste' a citation to the
form. A copy of the electronic request is automatically sent to your email
when you submit the form online.
Advanced level students and staff, including PIRSA/SARDI may charge the
cost to a departmental account. A Departmental Account code or a
Requisition number must be provided on the request form.
Other users must pay cash in advance at the Library desk, and then enter
the receipt number and the date of payment on the request form.
Note that GST will apply for all cash payments and for non-University
accounts.
Remote Students
The Remote
Student Library Service supplies study related material to students
who are remote or are enrolled as external students at the University of
Adelaide.
Only students who live outside metropolitan Adelaide (i.e.: students
whose phone number does not start with 81, 82 , 83 or 84) are eligible
to use the service.
