Depending on where you login to access this web page you may link directly to full text at the publishers website, if the Library has a subscription.  Alternatively, double check a  journal title in the Library Catalogue to see if we have the an "electronic resource".

NBER (American)
National Bureau of Economic Research is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization dedicated to promoting a greater understanding of how the economy works. The Library has subsciptions to several publications.

Newsey.com
A multiperspective online video news site. You'll find CNN right next to Al Jazeera, the BBC right next to ABC. Also covers major newspapers, news magazines as well as top blogs from around the world. Hint: keep keywords simple and consider using synonyms eg: auto - rather than automobile or car

OECD (free) & SourceOECD (subscription)
Reliable sources of comparable statistics, and economic and social data. Also monitors trends, analyses and forecasts economic developments and researches social changes or evolving patterns in trade, environment, agriculture, technology, taxation and more.

UN ComTrade Database (subscription)
United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database.Contains detailed import and export statistics for over 200 countires from 1962 to present.

UNCTAD   United Nations Conference on Trade & Development
Promotes the integration of developing countries into the world economy. UNCTAD focuses on ensuring that domestic policies and international action are mutually supportive in bringing about sustainable development.

WTO / World Trade Organization
Global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business.

Dictionaries & Encyclopedias

 

When you need to define your topic and/or get some back-ground reading try consulting a subject specific dictionary or encyclopedia (eg: law, finance, marketing, computing, business etc). Coverage can vary from just short entries to in-depth essays with recommendations for further reading.


Library Reference Material

Past Exam Papers

 

The School of Economics has embargoed (blocked) access to the librarys collection of Economics exam papers.  Students should ask their lecturer about exam preparation.
