This short section explains the cost indexes used in the chemical industry and where to find them as well as providing three tables of examples.


In electronic format the journal Chemical Engineering includes regular sections for the "Chemical Engineering Plant Cost Index (CEPCI) and the "Marshall & Swift equipment cost index".

Go to the Library Catalogue
   at Search for: type in chemical engineering
   at by: pull down on the arrow-head and select 'Journal or Newspaper Title'
