From the Engineering Village search screen, in the left-hand column, pull down to More Search Sources and click on Scirus to search links to a range of sites of value to engineers. Scirus claims to retrive results from all science and science-related sites on the Worldwide Web

Maintained by the Federal government's Department of Heritage and the Environment. Provides a network of sites giving information on industry expertise, environmental technologies, research and development, hazardous wastes.

The Virtual Libraries often include a larger number of sites, but lack the reviewing of content that is a characteristic of the SBIGs.
