Abbreviations, Acronyms, Symbols and Colours

Library Resources

Abbreviations and acronyms dictionaries have the call number 423.1; many subject-specific dictionaries also have an appendix of abbreviations and/or acronyms. Books listing symbols and signs have the call number 419. To find information about colours, choose the Subject Heading search option in the catalogue and search for color or color guides.
