Importing records from Historical Abstracts

You can either import saved results into EndNote or export directly to EndNote from the Historical abstracts search.

Importing saved results

First save your results in the Historical abstracts database.
  1. At search result page, mark the Tagged box for each record you wish to download or leave the Tagged boxes unmarked to download all records.
  2. Click Export Options, then
    Entry Format: Full Entry,
Request Entry: All Entries or Tagged Entries
  3. Choose Output Type: ASCII display, click Export Records and use the File menu of your browser to Save as a .txt file.

Then in EndNote import the saved results using the Historical abstracts filter. If you do not already have the filter, it can be downloaded from EndNote: importing records to your EndNote filters directory.

Direct export to EndNote

The computer on which you are searching must have EndNote loaded.

Follow steps 1 and 2 above then choose Output Type: EndNote and click Export Records then Export to Citation Manager. Choose the destination EndNote Library. Records will be added automatically.
