Exporting records from EBSCO databases
You can export search results directly to EndNote without needing to select the import filter.
- Search the EBSCO database.
- Click Add against required records to add them to a folder.
- Click Folder has items.
- Click Export.
- Click Direct Export to EndNote... and Save.
- Open a temporary EndNote library. The references are transferred automatically to it.
- Check and edit the references, especially non-journal references which may not be transferred accurately.
- Copy the references to the appropriate EndNote library.
If EndNote is not loaded on your search computer, you can save results and import into EndNote. Follow the steps above but choose Generic bibliographic management software instead of Direct export to EndNote then Save and use your browser's Save as command to save the result as a .txt file. Then in EndNote import the saved results using the appropriate EndNote database filter. If you need to download the filter, try the EndNote web site's or the University of Queensland's EndNote filters - see Importing references.
