Importing records from OvidSP and SilverPlatter databases

GeoRef and Geobase have changed from SilverPlatter to a new OvidSP platform.

OvidSP platform

Download the GeoRefOvidSP or GeobaseOvidSP filter from EndNote: importing records to your EndNote Filters directory.
At your search results, choose the results and fields and Direct Export.
Click Save.
EndNote opens. Choose the destination EndNote library.
Choose the GeoRefOvidSP or GeobaseOvidSP filter. References import automatically.
Check the imported data. Authors and book publication details are likely to need editing within EndNote.

Previous SilverPlatter platform

First save your results in the SilverPlatter database.
Search SilverPlatter databases one at a time.
At your search results, click the Save icon.
Select:
Save to disk (not Export to Procite, EndNote... - see below)
the range of references
Save these fields: Complete Record
Also save: Search history; Record number and database name; Field names with Short labels.
Click OK and Save to a .txt file.
In EndNote import the saved results< using the filter for the SilverPlatter database (e.g. Georef). If you do not already have the filter, it can be downloaded from EndNote: importing records to your EndNote filters directory.
