Employment in the Library

The Barr Smith Library employs University of Adelaide students as casual employees at Service Enquiries and in Collection maintenance (reshelving).

Minimum requirements

Students must

• be at second year or beyond and have at least two years remaining in their university studies
• have fewer than 20 contact hours per week
• have an employment history (local and/or international) of at least six months experience in a library, customer service or administrative capacity
• be available for weekday shifts - weekends are generally given to established staff members
