Project Muse Full text
collection of journals from US university presses from the
mid-1990s onwards.
Includes the Washington Quarterly until late 2008.
International Political Science Abstracts
Since 1951, the International Political Science Abstracts has provided non-evaluative abstracts of articles in the field of political science published in journals (and yearbooks) all over the world. The scope of the discipline is that of the major political science journals.
Full text available from SAGE Premier 2008: 01/02/2007 to present
Newspapers are also useful as sources of comment on events.
Factiva provides full text and indexing of hundreds of newspapers, mostly from the 1990's onwards, but the Washington Post is available full text from 1984 and the New York Times is available full text from June 1980 and abstracts from January 1, 1969.
New York times has an archive online, 1851-1980 and 1981-.
If free full text is not available, use the database to search and then the article can be found on New York Time Microfilm MF PER3.
The last 20 or so years are availalbe on Factiva.
The Times (London) digital archive is available at the State Library of South Australia.
