 CATALOGUE

First, consult the catalogueThis may seem obvious, but many students fail to fully investigate the resources of our own library.

Using  guided keyword search   you can search for your historian,  discipline or theory as a subject.

Any keywords inSubject heading can be especially useful  if you use terms such as country paired with the term historiography.
e.g. ASIA  HISTORIOGRAPHY   ( click all of these)
SOVIET HISTORIOGRAPHY      ( click all of these)

Subject Heading, and searching on the term HISTORIOGRAPHY can also be fruitful for general works on this subject. If you sort your list of results, by date (latest first), you will find the most recent publications displayed first.

Any keywords  is useful for detecting your historian's name in edited collections of essays etc.

To search for all the books by a particular author, or to look at the holdings of other libraries, follow the links on my History at its broadest page,  in the section Books -Databases
We can also undertake  searches for you on KINETICA, which lists holdings of libraries Australia-wide.

BIOGRAPHY

Information is sometimes needed about a particular historian's life and other interests.
Often these details are  easier to find after the person's death,  through obituaries.
To locate obituaries, first establish the year of death and then check the following, depending on the historian's nationality.
