produced by the Northern Territory University Library, is a bibliographic database containing references to the literature on East Timor and Eastern Indonesia, on Australia's relations with South-East Asia, and with ASEAN and its member nations (Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar). INTAN MAS is limited to the languages of Western Europe and Bahasa Indonesia

Historical abstracts Covers subjects from 1450. For earlier periods, use Bibliography of Asian Studies  (see above).

an interdisciplinary index covering approximately 1500 current journals, many of which have full text on-line.

JSTOR is a fulltext searchable library of scholarly journals which contains full text of selected journals from their first issue up to 3-5 years ago.

Project Muse offers full text searching across nearly 250 quality journal titles from 40 scholarly publishers from the mid 1990's to the present.

Periodicals index online indexes covers journal titles from 1800-1990. Good for contemporary articles about specific events. Some titles link to full text in PAO - Periodicals archive online

NEWSPAPERS

Asian recorder 1955-........a news digest which may help you to pinpoint dates by which you can search older newspapers. It includes a subject index.
