Some light relief

No self-respecting page of philosophy resources would be complete without a link to Monty Python's 'The Bruces' sketch [set in 'the Philosophy Department at the University of Wooloomooloo'] which includes the notorious 'Bruces' song', also known as the 'Philosophers' drinking song'.
Visit my 'The Bruces' sketch page for a transcript. I also have another page with a transcript of the 'Bruces' song'.

Here's a sound file if you want to listen to the Bruces' song.

YouTubeThe Hollywood Bowl live performance of the Bruces' song is on YouTube.

Also on YouTube is the Hollywood Bowl live performance of 'The Bruces' sketch.

Causes of Death of philosophers
A very humorous and witty list, started by Stiv Fleishman and added to by Hugh Mellor, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Philosophy University of Cambridge, to whom further suggestions should be sent. Have a look at the local interest entries under Graham Nerlich and Jack Smart...
Why not make a contribution? [dhm11@cam.ac.uk] -- if it's accepted, let me know and I'll acknowledge your signal achievement on this page.

Goat Philosophy
An intriguing site from Gary [gary@goatism.org]. Here's how he introduces it:
"It's true! Everything is a Goat, and all appearance to the contrary is mere illusion. Scientists may scoff, and hide behind their hypotheses, but have all physicists since Einstein not been searching for a Grand Unified Theory? Besides, logic supersedes science just as day supersedes night and we can prove by logic that everything is a Goat.
Furthermore, Goatist researchers have discovered that many of history's greatest thinkers realised the truth and tried to tell us about it."

I'll leave it to you to decide how true all this is...!
