To locate a known full text electronic or print journal accessible to the University of Adelaide staff and students, search the Library's catalogue using the "Journal Title" option. The Library holds all the full text electronic titles from ACM, IEEE journals, ScienceDirect( except for a few),Wiley,JStor(backset of journals), Springer, Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press. Current journal issuesMany databases and electronic journals provide a free alerting service that will send updated results of a research topic search or tables of contents of a new journal issue to your email address or use RSS feeds (what's this?) to distribute the information. - The Library catalogue subscription summary screen shows the most recent issue of a print journal received.
- Where the Library does not hold a journal in print or electronic form, use Interlibrary request to get it from another library.
BindingUnbound journal issues take about 6 weeks to be bound. The Copy status screens in the catalogue show volumes at the binders with 'Binding' in the Status column of the volume. The Binding list option on the library catalogue menu shows the due date of return from binders.
Journals in other librariesWhere a journal is not held by this library or is at binding, use Interlibrary request to get journal articles from other libraries or the Intercampus loan service for journals from the Waite or Roseworthy campuses.
