Dial Up Access to Databases
You can access many of the Library's databases (and electronic
journals) from home or work providing you have an internet
connection.
Databases of Particular Interest for Mental Health
Below are descriptions of databases which may be useful for mental health and psychiatry. Most of these databases can be used either in the Library or by remote access.
Authentication to access them remotely is by password. Click here for details.
The list is divided into broad categories - Australian and international - and then items are arranged alphabetically rather than ranked according to their relevance.
The Library subscribes to databases in many other fields, and all databases are accessible through the catalogue
I've also listed some publishers' web sites where the library subscribes to a large range of full text material. |
Searching the web
There will be times when you'd like to find government documents, or other information on the web. This is when Google is your best option, but make sure you use it effectively!! Try Four Nets for Better Searching for some easy to follow, simple advice.
