Not alone? Isolation and mental distress
A survey for 2004 from Mind indicates that 84 per cent of people with mental health problems feel isolated. Yet more worrying is that 80 per cent of respondents from this survey reported that isolation actually impedes their recovery from mental health problems. This new research confirms that people with mental health problems are among the most isolated in society.

Database
REHABDATA, produced by the National Rehabilitation Information
Center (NARIC), is the leading literature database on disability
and rehabilitation. The database describes over 65,000 documents
covering physical, mental, and psychiatric disabilities,
independent living, vocational rehabilitation, special education,
assistive technology, law, employment, and other issues as they
relate to people with disabilities. The collection span 1956 to the
present.
Resiliency & Recovery E-Learning Center
Free e-courses for providers, consumers, family members and other stakeholders. When you click on one of the modules a Pre-Test Survey appears, but as it's only valid for the United States you can just use the Exit option to move to the actual module.

This is a work in progress. At this stage available only in draft form the tool was designed to help facilitate change in practice and to promote more of a recovery orientation. It is intended to be used in a way which will help service providers assess and consider their practice in a supportive and developmental way. It is not intended to be used as an audit tool designed only to identify shortcomings.
