Mental Health Data Cubes (AIHW)
From the Australin Institute of Health and Welfare, the interactive mental health admitted patients data cube contains information on patients admitted to hospital, who receive specialised psychiatric care, i.e. who are in a public psychiatric hospital or a psychiatric unit of an acute care hospital.
Mental Health: Hospital admissions with a mental health diagnosis and use of community mental health services
Public Health Information Development Unit, University of Adelaide, November 2006. This set of maps outlines the distribution of clients of mental health services in South Australia. Produced for the Mental Health Directorate, Central Northern Adelaide Health Service, it complements other health atlases including the Social Health Atlas of South Australia and the Social Health Atlas of the Central Northern Adelaide Health Service. Together, these provide important information for policy makers, planners, and service providers and community members working towards the future health and wellbeing of South Australians.

Mental Health Services in Australia
Published by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW), the Mental Health Services in Australia series describes the characteristics and activity of Australia's mental health care services including ambulatory and residential mental health-related care provided by hospitals, community-based services, general practitioners, private psychiatrists and some disability support services. Information on the broad trends in mental health care is presented in easy-to-use summaries. Detailed statistics show the hospital care of patients admitted with a mental health-related diagnosis, the services, beds, staffing and expenditure in psychiatric hospitals and community-based services, and mental health-related medications prescribed by general practitioners and private psychiatrists.

Produced by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, this publication presents a summary of results from the 2007 (second) National Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing, conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) from August to December 2007. WHO | Project Atlas
Project Atlas of the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, WHO, is designed to collect, compile and disseminate data on mental health and neurology resources in the world. Resources include policies, programmes, financing, services, professionals, treatment and medicines, information systems and related organizations. The data can be searched using either the Data Query, or the Reports option, Mental Health Atlas project report was first published in 2001 and the information was updated in 2005 and 201. The latest edition, 2011,
represents the latest estimate of global mental health resources available to prevent and treat mental disorders and help protect the human rights of people living with these conditions. It presents data from 184 WHO Member States, covering 98% of the world’s population. Facts and figures presented in Atlas indicate that resources for mental health remain inadequate.
