Section 4. Interpreting catalogue results - books

ANSWERS


The Library often has multiple copies of books which are in high demand. Usually at least one copy, and sometimes more, will be in the Reserve Collection, while the others will be on the shelves in the Main Collection. Reserve copies are available only for 3 hour, or overnight loan.

1. The Library holds 10 copies of this book.

2. They all have the same call number 150 Z71a.17, with different copy numbers at the end.

3. Seven of them are in the Barr Smith Main Collection (six are available only for short loan), and three are held in the Barr Smith Reserve collection . You can use the Library's A-Z Index to check loan conditions for Reserve items.

4. There are three copies in the Reserve collection.
