The journals listed are not necessarily held by the Library, but I have compiled the list to allow browsing of contents and abstracts of a wide range of titles on PubMed. Electronic access to the full text of many journals is available to Library members through our e-Journals A-Z To check which journals are indexed in Medline, use the PubMed aphabetical list of journals If there is a particular journal you want to check to see which databases index its contents, use Ulrich's Periodicals Directory You may find additional titles of interest in my mental health journals list, or my nursing journals list. I've included some links to publishers' sites, either where the journal is free, or where it is not listed in PubMed. There are also links to information on Journal Impact Ranking and H-Index or Hirsch Numbers, as well as instructions to authors. Caclulation of SJR & SNIP powered by Scopus Developed by Professor Félix de Moya, SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) is a prestige metric based on the idea that ‘all citations are not created equal’. With SJR, the subject field, quality and reputation of the journal has a direct impact on the value of a citation. This means that a citation from a source with a relatively high SJR is worth more than a citation from a source with a lower SJR. Created by Professor Henk Moed at CTWS, University of Leiden, Source-Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP) measures contextual citation impact by weighting citations based on the total number of citations in given subject field. The impact of a single citation is given a higher value in subject areas where citations are less likely, and vice versa.
