Australian public affairs - full text: APA-FT
If your topic is Australian, use this database first.
Includes citations (from 1978 onwards) and some full text (from 1995 onwards)

Project Muse is a unique collaboration between libraries and publishers providing full-text access to over 300 high quality humanities, arts, and social sciences journals from 60 scholarly publishers.
Scopus
The largest abstract and citation database. It has the broadest coverage available of scientific, technical, medical and social sciences literature. Cross-searches Sociological Abstracts dating back to 1952.
Web of Science
Much more than science!
Includes the Arts & Humanities Citation Index and the Social Sciences Citation Index, and can be searched by author, keyword or citation.

Non-current Material

JSTOR and Periodicals index online
Neither of these databases index current journal literature. Date coverage varies depending on individual journal titles - some go back as far back as the late 18th century.

Ethnographic video online
