Finding Journal Articles Using Databases

 Medical/Scientific 

Pubmed - index to medical and related journals from the US National Library of Medicine.

Social Sciences 

Academic OneFile, Academic search premier are both interdisciplinary but, from your results, select articles from journals with titles of a sociological, anthropological, economic etc nature.
or use Sociological Abstracts. Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre is international but with a strong Australian emphasis. Mixture of popular and scholarly full text sources- newspapers, Dolly, Natural Health, medical jourmals etc etc.
