Borrowing from the Library by students
Your Student Identity Card is also your Library Card.
If you lose your ID Card, please report the loss immediately to the University Card Centre (telephone 8313 3363), and to the Library -- you are responsible for all loans made with it.
An ID Card may be used only by the person to whom it was issued.

Advanced level students (honours, higher degree, Diploma, M.A. qualifying and students enrolled in 4th-6th year) may also borrow bound volumes of journals and may have on loan up to fifty items at a time.
Loan periods
The Library varies conditions of loan to meet the needs of particular groups of users, and to maximise the availability of resources.

All members of the University of Adelaide community have a University email address to which Library notices are sent.
If you have an alternative email account you will need to arrange for the forwarding of messages from your University email address to your other email address.

If an item is kept beyond the date of despatch of the first and final overdue notice requesting its return, an invoice will be sent for the cost of replacement of the item, plus a non-refundable handling charge of $30.00 per item.
Demerit points
Demerit points are allocated when items are not returned by the due date.
Please talk to a staff member at Service Enquiries, (telephone 8313 5124) if you have a question about demerit points.
