Borrowing from the Library by students
Student identity card
Your University ID card is also your Library card.
If you lose your ID card, please report the loss immediately to the University Card Centre (telephone 8313 3363), and to the Library -- you are responsible for all loans made with it.
Your ID card may be used only by the person to whom it was issued and is not transferrable.

One Note:-- Minor variations may apply in the branch libraries.
An item on loan to you may be recalled if it is urgently required by another user. The loan period will be reduced to seven days and you will be notified of the new due date by email.
Renewals
You may renew a loan using MyLibrary or Unified on or before the due date. A loan may not be renewed if someone is waiting for the book or if you have already renewed it for the maximum number of renewals allowed.
Returning books
Books on loan must be returned through the 24 hour chutes at the Library entrance so that the loan can be correctly discharged.
Library notices
All members of the University of Adelaide community have a University email address to which Library notices are sent. If you have an alternative email account you will need to arrange for the forwarding of messages from your University email address to your other email address.
Handling charge
If an item is kept beyond the date of despatch of the first and final overdue notice requesting its return, an invoice will be sent for the cost of replacement of the item, plus a non-refundable handling charge of $30.00 per item.
