Library services for University Senior CollegeResources and servicesBeing a member of the library gives you access to:
Opening hoursThe Library is open late evenings and weekends during semesters, giving you the opportunity to use our facilities outside of college hours. For full details see the opening hours page. BorrowingStaffLibrary membership for college staff is provided at the discretion of University Senior College. Eligible staff have the same membership as University of Adelaide staff. StudentsCollege students can borrow books from the Barr Smith Library's main collection and the Reserve and Multimedia collection. You can also borrow from the other University of Adelaide libraries but there may be some restrictions. You can borrow as many as 30 books at a time. The usual loan period is 4 weeks but you may renew a loan up to 4 times if nobody is waiting to use the book. You may be asked to return an item earlier than its due date if someone else has requested it. Make sure you return your books on time - that way you'll avoid demerit points. Please remember that if you lose or damage an item you will have to pay for the replacement costs, including a non-refundable handling fee of $30. Finding the Barr Smith LibraryThe Library is centrally located on the University of Adelaide's North Terrace campus. If you're not sure how to find us, just look for location F 8 on the North Terrace campus map. Still not sure? Here's a smaller size campus map that puts us a bit more into context. |
