Rock Star: the story of Reg Sprigg

The Friends of the University of Adelaide Library invite you to a free author event with Kristin Weidenbach on Thursday 18 September 2008 at 1.05pm

Venue: Ira Raymond Room, Barr Smith Library, University of Adelaide

Kristin Weidenbach, author of the best-selling Mailman of the Birdsville Track, will talk about her recent book, Rock Star: The Story of Reg Sprigg - an Outback Legend.

Reg Sprigg discovered the great Cooper Basin oil and gas fields, helped found SANTOS, and launched Arkaroola Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Australia's first eco-tourism resorts.

The book was researched using the Oliphant papers held in Special Collections, a selection of which will be on display.
